I have several years' experience assisting organizations with a broad range of Management, Work and Family, and Human Resource Management challenges. Through these projects, I have served effectively as a group facilitator, an action-oriented researcher, a statistician, a strategic adviser, and a developer and implementer of HR, change, and workplace flexibility initiatives.

I am very proud to have been named the 2010-2011 Silberman College of Business Teacher of the Year.  I teach a variety of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management courses at the undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA levels.  My Management Department colleagues developed a cutting-edge undergraduate management curriculum
I am an Associate Professor of Management at the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where I teach, conduct research, and provide consulting services in Work-Family Balance, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior.  I received a Ph.D. from the University at Albany, State University of New York and a B.S. from Cornell University.  I am proud to have been named the Silberman College of Business Teacher of the Year for 2010-2011. 
I also run the popular blog, Fathers, Work and Family (, dedicated to helping fathers better balance work and family and to encourage more supportive workplaces.  I am available for speaking and consulting engagements on topics related to fathers, work and family. 
My research interests include work-family balance, organizational justice, and workplace flexibility.  I have published articles in such journals as the Journal of Vocational Behavior, the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Organization Management Journal, and the Journal of Healthcare Management, and have presented work at numerous conferences including the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, The Academy of Management and the European Applied Business Research Conference.  I have won six awards for my research, and am a two-time nominee for the prestigious Rosabeth Moss Kanter Award for Work-Family Research.  I was recently named as a Who's Who in Work-Family Research by the Sloan Work-Family Research Network.
I previously taught at the State University of New York at Albany, the International University of Monaco, and La Universidad del Salvador, Bueonos Aires, Argentina.  I have several years' experience in management and HR consulting, and also serve on the Board of Directors for the Rockland Parent-Child Center, a not-for-profit social services organization. 
On a personal note, I live in beautiful Nyack, NY, with my wife, the lovely and talented stage actress Amy Griffin and our beautiful son, Nicky.  I have traveled to five continents and enjoy baseball, volleyball and skiing.
